Self-Proclaimed “True Islamists,” ISIS, Blow Up Mosques

So, those ISIS clowns, who call themselves “true” Islamists, have taken upon themselves to blow up mosques across Northern Iraq.

The group’s self-proclaimed descendant of the Prophet Muhammad Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, have already demolished a ton of the Iraq’s “sacred places,” and is  now calling itself the “Islamic State.”

“They see themselves as the last defenders of Islamic civilization and want to eradicate anything that they see as the enemy of Islam, and any Muslim they perceive as compromising with the West,” Yvonne Haddad, a professor at Georgetown University who specializes in the history of Islam and Christian-Muslim relations, told

True the Vote Alleges Pro-Cochran Officials Destroying Mississippi Election Evidence, Files Restraining Order

National conservative election integrity organization True The Vote has asked a federal judge to issue a restraining order against the Mississippi Republican Party, alleging that the state GOP may be engaged in the destruction of evidence of alleged voter fraud from the June 24 GOP primary runoff.

“Defendant county commissioners have continued to violate federal law by preventing access to election records. Now, we think we know why,” True The Vote founder Catherine Engelbrecht said in a statement. “If the affidavits we now have regarding the destruction of election documents and other similarly stunning findings are true, then no Mississippian, no American, can trust the results of this election.”

In a release True The Vote sent to press Wednesday evening, Engelbrecht’s organization said it possessed dozens of signed affidavits “containing stunning evidence of election subversion,” including the “destruction of voters’ absentee ballot applications and mandatory envelopes” and “illegal alteration of poll books.” The release also says the affidavits will walk through how supporters of Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS) have helped destroy evidence related to “cross-over and double voting” and “absentee ballots marked ‘accepted’ but unopened,” among other forms of alleged voter fraud.

“Based on all we have seen—and all we have not been allowed to see—we now believe that unless the Court steps in, illegal voting will go unchallenged, voters’ rights will be diluted, voters’ trust will be violated—and an unlawful and inaccurate election may be certified by the State of Mississippi,” Engelbrecht said.

True The Vote’s motion was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi in Jackson. The organization published the motion online. Breitbart News has reached out to True The Vote for more information on the contents of the affidavits.

Mississippi GOP chairman Joe Nosef responded to the allegations by attacking True The Vote’s reputation in an emailed statement to Breitbart News.

“My initial reaction is I thought it was a headline from The Onion,” Nosef said in an email. “Now I see how this group has earned their awful reputation.”

Overpaid Centinela Valley Superintendent Fired

The Centinela Union Valley school board voted unanimously on July 9 to start termination proceedings against Centinela Union Valley high school superintendent Jose Fernandez, who made 663,000 last year.

Fernandez was not present at the meeting. The board vote came after five months of controversy over his compensation package, totaling nearly $800,000, with $700,000 in compensation and a whole-life policy that the district bought for him over the last two years at a cost of $100,000. Fernandez also obtained a $900,000 low-interest loan from the district to buy a home. The school board approved the compensation package in late 2009, and Fernandez could only be fired if four of the five board members agreed.

School board president Hugo Rojas stated, “After receiving from legal counsel regarding the issue, the board gave unanimous direction to legal counsel to implement the administrative procedures outlined under section 7D of Superintendent Fernandez’s deployment agreement regarding termination for cause. This motion was voted on and passed 5-0 regarding termination for cause.”

The significance of the district firing Fernandez for cause is that if that succeeds, they owe him no severance pay. If firing him for cause does not succeed, the district would have to pay him roughly $500,000 in severance pay because of his 18-month buyout clause.

The board was briefed on a private investigative company’s findings after two months of investigation.

Some of the few attendees from the local community vented their ire at the school board. George Brazetti said, “Thank you very much for finally doing what you should have done and should have never done in the first place. You should never have hired that joker.”

Marion Thomas agreed, saying, “As a community, we have really suffered, and our students have suffered. And you’re correcting something that you did, but I still think that you need to step down.” She also said, “There was definitely cause, and we all know that. I also want to know when are you guys leaving? You had a fiduciary responsibility.”

Diane Sambrano, who had warned the board before along with several others, stated, “This was a significant mistake that should not have been made before, because you were forewarned… It strikes me that there’s a lot still needing to be done to clean up the mess that was voted on and approved by the majority of you, that brought so much attention to the school district in a very negative way.”

Cesar Perez, president of the classified union representing nonteaching employees, stated, “Anybody who knew about this and allowed the superintendent to do what he did needs to be put on the chopping block. It would send a message, not only to the state but the whole country, that this cannot be happening. It is an abuse of power, and that cannot be tolerated anymore.”

The FBI and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office have been investigating the case, checking to see if any criminal laws were transgressed.

Centinela Union Valley district includes Lawndale, Hawthorne, and the unincorporated communities of Lennox, Del Aire, and Alondra Park. It has three high schools, an adult school, and a continuation school serving 6,000 students.

Media Preps Battlefield To Attack GOP On Border Crisis

According to Wednesday’s edition of NBC’s  First Read and MSNBC’s “Daily Countdown,” it seems pretty clear that Chuck Todd, NBC’s Chief White House Correspondent, and his colleagues are busying themselves in laying the groundwork to take some of the border crisis heat off of Obama and turn it on the GOP.

According to Todd, any GOP reluctance to blindly hand Obama close to $4 billion — with a “B” — will result in an “optics” problem for Republicans every bit as bad as the one Obama’s facing for choosing to shoot pool in Colorado and raise money in Texas while refusing to visit the border:

As he travels to Texas today, President Obama has a clear optics problem: He’s in the Lone Star State to raise money at two different fundraisers (in Dallas and Austin), but he won’t be coming to the U.S.-Mexico border to inspect what his administration has called a humanitarian crisis. Indeed, the White House is digging in its heels to NOT bow to pressure to visit the border. …

But if Obama has an optics problem, the Republican Party might have a much bigger one if they reject the White House’s request for $3.7 billion to respond to the crisis at the border.

NBC’s Mark Murray is a co-author of that left-wing spin disguised as analysis,  so I used Twitter to ask if he or anyone at NBC News had done any actual reporting to find out how exactly that $3.7 billion will be spent:

— Here’s Murray’s response:

Check his link. That’s not reporting, that’s faithfully copying, pasting, rewording and believing without question what’s been handed to you by your government.

In other words, this is all political maneuvering on NBC’s part. They have no idea if the spending request is legitimate, necessary, or going to end up in some bureaucratic black hole — and they don’t care.

The goal here isn’t journalism or good government — the goal is a political one to prep the battlefield as a way to try and pull Obama out of this mess by pulling the GOP into it. NBC News is intentionally giving the GOP no space for the possibility that waste, fraud, and pork in that $3.7 billion might make it bad policy.

Todd has used this dishonest “pox on everyone’s house” defense to protect Obama before. That’s how he recently summed up the IRS scandal. His logic there is that people (conservatives, naturally) applying for a tax status Todd disagrees with are every bit as horrible as a powerful federal government singling Obama’s citizen political opponents out for harassment and politically paralyzing audits during a presidential election year.

And now Todd and company are outright threatening the GOP.

Claiming the GOP will have an “optics problem” if they don’t immediately hand over $4 billion (that NBC News has no idea how it will be spent) to Obama, is just a nice way of threatening that if they don’t, NBC News will give them an image problem.

Boehner Considering Including Immigration in Lawsuit Against President

House Speaker John Boehner could include immigration issues in his lawsuit against President Obama’s executive actions.

“Yes we are,” he told reporters at his Wednesday press conference when asked if he is considering including any immigration-related executive actions in his lawsuit.

The House Speaker noted that he disagreed with former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s call to impeach the president instead of suing him.

Last month Boehner revealed he will be suing Obama over his failure “faithfully execute the laws of our country.”

“I believe the House must act as an institution to defend the constitutional principles at stake and to protect our system of government and our economy from continued executive abuse,” Boehner wrote in a memo to colleagues on July 25.

The Speaker has not announced over what executive actions he plans to sue Obama.

At his press conference, Boehner deferred questions about the President’s recent supplemental request for $3.7 billion emergency appropriations — to deal with the unprecedented influx of unaccompanied illegal immigrant minors and family units at the border — to the House Appropriations Committee and the border working group led by Texas Republican Rep. Kay Granger.

“I’m going to look to the recommendations from Chairman [Hal] Rogers and the border working group in terms of how we address this,” he said, nothing that Obama has not used any of the recommendations Boehner offered in a letter to the president more than two weeks ago.

Boehner did stress, however, that the border needs to be sealed in order to end the influx of illegal immigration into the U.S. something, he said, Obama’s emergency funding request does not do.

“So it’s time for us to take a serious look at what needs to happen,” he said. “If we don’t secure the border nothing is going to change. If you read the president’s request it’s all more about continuing to deal with the problem. We’ve got to something about sealing the border and ending this problem so that we can begin to move on with the bigger question of immigration reform.”
